STORIES OF FARAWAY LANDS and SONGS OF EMERALD TWILIGHT, two EP releases put out in tandem under the same moon, act as path-maps to the darkest and most magickal realms yet explored by the avant-dungeon-synth wanderer FABLED BLACK RIDER. These maps are meant only for the weary, the lost, the hexridden and the suicidal... those black souls will find within realms where faeries dance on leaves and branches in the moonlight, gnomish symphonies play primitive drums and flutes upon their toadstools, and great wyvern fly softly overhead, casting the forest villages below into deep shadow. These lands, which seem so far-afield, can be explored in trance through these humble songs, at least by those who can still hear melody in the deep woods, and the voices of the trees... These largely-improvised recordings should appeal to fans of true raw dungeon synth, drone ambient, and other black outsider musicks.
