It seems that the FABLED BLACK RIDER will journey only deeper into darkness.. there is a strange quality to the trees in this wood, and the horse will not enter. On this tape, one will hear the sounds of profound loss, old magic, and the few brighter-things that scurry in the undergrowth of the black-groves. May these songs grant you safe passage through this gloomy place… most of the beings dwelling here are fond only of blood and decay…

"Dark Ambient/ Depressive Dungeon Synth from the USA. Released with care. The golden case aesthetically fits the cassette very neatly. It's really nice to see how some dungeon synth tapes are becoming small pieces of art. Musically, we could say that the title says it all. It's very minimalistic, covered in layers of misty reverb until the sounds become barely recognizable. The keys strike sparsely, tentatively, and as if from behind a wall. A strong reminder of currently unknown, small dark ambient projects from the 90s. Atmospherically, if this material was woods, these woods would be overgrown, with no path to guide you when you are lost, uninhabited by men, although you could feel a presence behind every tree - but a presence that cannot talk your language, or maybe doesn't want to, as it is busy drinking fluids from the ground and communicating via roots with those who understand. Best listened to in the background on a rainy day for maximum peaceful, apathetic drowsiness. "
